A brief history…
As an award winning video game developer founded in 1997 by Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier. Irrational Games made its name with the much loved first person shooter System Shock 2. This was followed by two Freedom Force games, SWAT 4 and Tribes: Vengeance. In 2007 Irrational Games released the critically acclaimed BioShock, which went on to win over 50 awards, including Best Game from BAFTA, and is one of the highest rated first person shooters of all time. In March of 2013 Irrational Games continued the BioShock saga with the release of BioShock Infinite, which won over 150 awards and once again achieved critical acclaim with a Metacritic score of 94. The Irrational Games team has since returned to its roots to form a new studio and work on a new, unannounced, game.
