Last week, we held a pre-E3 press event to show BioShock Infinite–you may have noticed the slew of BioShock Infinite previews and interviews hitting the web. Our preview location was plastered with ads for Columbia’s various products as well as Founder propaganda. Those posters will reappear in our E3 booth and will find their way into BioShock Infinite itself.
Until then, we figured our online audience might be interested in taking a peek. Enjoy these ads for the Bucking Bronco vigor and the Rolston Reciprocating Repeater — both usable by the player in combat. There’s also a piece of Founder propaganda warning Vox Populi insurgents about the threat of the Songbird, Elizabeth’s guardian and jailer previously known only as “Him.”
The two ads were created by Irrational artist Mike Swiderek, and the propaganda was created by Irrational artist Jorge Lacera.

Great pieces of art, That Bucking Bronco vigor would make just as good perhaps better collectible than the Murder of Crows bottle!
laforzadimente | May 24, 2011 4:07 pm
People may think twice after some of the others are revealed about what they’d like in a CE
laforzadimente | May 24, 2011 4:07 pm
Fantastic fantastic fantastic. I love that each vigor (at least so far) has a unique bottle.
felonious | May 24, 2011 7:29 pm
Yeah me too, I’m really impressed by the bucking bronco one, something tells me their will be others which surpass that one!
reapsdaworld | May 24, 2011 4:15 pm
They should make every vigor bottle and ship them directly to my house. I’ll share I promise. (Fingers crossed)
precipice66 | May 24, 2011 5:39 pm
Dear Santa,
Please can I have a Rolston Reciprocating Repeater for Christmas this year?
I promise only to use it on the naughty boys and girls.
Thanks,

I love them! Specially for the fact that you’re actually revealing a new vigor and weapon. I was starting to get worried that we wouldn’t get some kind of machine-gun like gun.
gladiator49 | June 1, 2011 5:47 pm
I was worried too but it’s nice to know we might still get an automatic weapon.

When I met Ken at PAX, the first thing I said was, “PLEASE offer the posters and ads for sale!!!” Almost every one I’ve seen so far is fantastic. The three new ones are no exception.
Can’t wait to see the other vigor bottle designs. I still much prefer the Murder of Crows, but the Bucking Bronco does have a humorous vibe. The horse’s legs creep me out a bit. Do they resemble a preying mantis to anyone else?…
gladiator49 | June 5, 2011 9:48 am
^ You’re lucky that you got to meet Ken.

Gorgeous art, a staple of every Bioshock game!
chrisredfield | May 25, 2011 4:34 am
Okay, I see on the “Triple R” poster that they come from the “Industrial Sector” of Columbia. Is this a hint that Columbia will have some kind of floating Industrial Park within it? And based on the pics/interviews, I think that a Mauser C96 and some sort of old-school RPG will added to the weapons line up. I wonder if the RPG will be just as comical to watch Booker load it, as it was to watch Jack load the Grenade Launcher in BS1. Hell, they should add an M16 with a Cat stuck on the barrel(ass first), like in Postal 2. That would be a hilarious Easter Egg. I wonder if Elizabeth will be able to use a gun. I know, it’s doubtable, given her “child-like” personna. But you never know… Quite satisfied overall. Keep it up Irrational!
P.S.- I would totally make a spare tire cover of that “Bucking Bronco” advert. That would so fit my truck!
dscythe911 | May 25, 2011 8:15 am
The art work is fantastic. I already have a giant poster of the Murder of Crows art piece that was one of the covers of Game Informer magazine. I just wish I was able to get one of those actual bottles at PAX East.
ngsoftwork | May 25, 2011 10:16 am

buckybit | May 26, 2011 1:35 am
just listened to Jeff Gerstmann on the Bombcast. He basically French-kissed this game. Never heard such a bold endorsement for a game from him in 20 years. At least, I can’t remember.
Your Propaganda machine marches like Mao’s minions ;-P

Heard it as well, he kept saying Infinite looks fantastic over and over!!! He also thinks Infinite will be this year’s E3’s game of show unless something spectacular not already known is shown.

Great advertisements. I really like how so far both vigors are very individual, not just re-hashes of Bio1 or Bio2’s plasmids. The propoganda for “him” is also interesting because it’s starting to develop some story around the “song bird”
boltonhawser | May 28, 2011 4:47 am
I have to disagree with you on that one, mrcolumbia. So far the only vigors we’ve seen is Murder of Crows, which is an obvious correlation to Insect Swarm, and Bucking Bronco, which seems like a Telekinesis/Sonic Boom mixture.
felonious | May 30, 2011 12:01 am
You have a point with Murder of Crows, we haven’t seen what Bucking Bronco can do. Keep in mind they may look similar but have different gameplay effects. An Ex- Take telekinesis and when Booker takes the gun out of a guys hand and uses it too blow him away. I’m confident they won’t play as rehashes of Bio1 ‘s plasmids.
magicmaker | May 30, 2011 2:51 am
They explain what the Bronco does in one of the interviews which is basically throwing someone up in the air, ala a bucking bronco.
felonious | May 30, 2011 2:57 pm
I meant we haven’t really seen any gameplay footage of it. I’ve read what its supposed to do, I want to see how that plays out against Booker’s foes, it may sound like it just does what cyclone trap did but I point to telekinesis again and what we have seen that do.
undeniably | May 27, 2011 10:12 am
The last poster is pretty impressive; the image definitely looks straight out of some sort of anti-semitic/anti-Italian cartoon from the period (all the ethnic features and even claws!)
