Irrational Games and our upcoming BioShock Infinite have been honored with a “Most Anticipated Game” nomination from Spike TV’s Video Game Awards 2010. Unlike the rest of the award categories, the winner of Most Anticipated Game is determined by player voting–and we’re going up against some heavy-hitters. So get over to the official site and vote!
The results of the vote will be revealed on Saturday, December 11 when the Video Game Awards ceremony is broadcast on Spike TV.

Voted for Bioshock Infinite!!! Would be awesome if it took the award considering how far out it still is. I got a feeling it will come down to Portal 2 and Gears of War 3, will def spread the word to vote!
rybow73 | November 17, 2010 6:31 pm
I definitely know it’s my most anticipated game. Congratulations on the nomination!

And it got that nomination for very good reason – anyone in their right mind can already see the very high potential columbia is going to have to offer. As gameinformer magazine once stated, sequels are a very tricky thing to master, bringing a completely different world to the eyes of the viewers with enough elements from the previous installment to incite feelings of familiarity. Congratulations, Irrational ๐

Voted for Bioshock, I would have chosen Portal 2, but my hype meter is with Infinite.
Is the rest of the categories closed or something?
rybow73 | November 24, 2010 4:56 pm
Portal 2 is definitely a close second to me. That game looks amazing…but since Infinite is so far off, it makes me want to see as much info as possible, thus making it my most anticipated game.
juan29zapata | November 26, 2010 11:04 pm
Exactly! I know enough about Portal 2 to enjoy it, the same for Infinite, but I really want to know more of it.

that almost hurt…but its true ๐
nyokou | November 18, 2010 1:29 pm
Voted. Hope it wins, but it’s up against some toooough competition. My boyfriend would’ve told me to vote for Gears, ha!
andrewfotos | November 18, 2010 11:37 pm
Voted! Bioshock is easily one of the best game franchises. I’m sure this one will be once again setting the bar for the entertainment industry.
yhmo85 | November 19, 2010 2:16 pm
Voted for Bioshock Infinite as well. I’m not a big fan of the Gears franchise and I haven’t really played the others so naturally Infinite gets my vote. That and I love Bioshock (narrative and overall game) so I am totally psyched on how Infinite is going to play out, even though its not technically connected to Bioshock.

… Voting, voting, voting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
huffenstein | November 19, 2010 10:07 pm
Why wouldn’t I vote for Bioshock Infinite? It is without a doubt the most anticipated game as far as I’m concerned. Great work guys.
ragingmudcrab | November 20, 2010 3:03 am
Definitely my most anticipated game, even though it’s so far off.
joshuadesimone | November 21, 2010 1:11 am
I think I’m the only person around who would say Deus Ex is his most anticipated. Rest assured that this game is a VERY close second though. Not many games have both amazing gameplay *and* a story worth playing out.
Grats on this.

rybow73 | November 28, 2010 4:56 pm
I hope they do, because I always manage to miss the airings on TV.
tanooki | November 28, 2010 11:12 pm
Yeah, those are indeed some heavy hitters. I would have gone with Portal 2 if not for Infinite, but Infinite edges it out.
timcroft | December 3, 2010 7:04 pm
Infinite FTW!
barnie16 | December 12, 2010 12:46 am

I would be more excited if it were a new swat type of game….yes i know they dont own the rights to the swat series but a new franchise of a tactical swat/police type game would be great
Lois Huett | January 24, 2011 10:58 am
Shame it didn’t go to Bioshock Infinite. I can’t wait for this game to come out! Why does it have to be so far from now?!
thethinker | February 11, 2011 12:52 pm
