Great deal! I notice that the X-COM pack is also on sale … Too bad there was no Irrational Games announcement to go with the deals 😉

Wow. Valve knows exactly what games I’m wanting desperately and makes ridiculous deals for ’em. Thank the Lordy for Steam.

Steam works great for me, and it’s going to be awesome to have these games available wherever I go without having to dig up some crusty ol’ disc. I hope lots of people buy and Irrational decides to continue both series.

Good times, sadly entirely strapped for cash.

Still have the Freedom Force 1 disc with optional pre order characters.

Jack Kirby through an Irrational lens!

I wonder if this was compelled at all by Rebel FM’s playthrough of the Third Reich.

Have old discs somewhere, but bought on Steam. Any chance we could get the preorder characters put into the Steam version?

A real steal of a deal! If you haven’t tried these games yet, you’re missing out on a classic! There’s no game quite like it. When it comes to superhero games, I don’t think it could get any better than this.

I did my part and got this and the X-COM pack… Coincidence that they were part of the same sale and IG has been rumoured to be working on X-COM? Time will tell. XP

Can anyone comment on how the Steam version of XCOM 1 plays?

Do you need dosbox or has it been re-engineered to work straight off a vista box?

One more question, i’ve never played Freedom Force, cany anyone point me to a fair review?

    Thanks

The steam version comes with DosBox bundled in, no effort on your part required.

        Ok Thanks.

Anyone played Silent Storm? I was reading up on tactical RPGs last night and came across some reviews of this game, the majority saying its brilliant.

Well i got my hands on a second user copy of Silent Storm and it is a wickedly complex tactical RPG. Very impressed, and follows in the great tradiiton of xcom and jagged alliance type gameplay.

I still cannot understand why a TPS cannot be developed along the same tactical lines, using a real-time/pause (give orders) function.

Hey Biohazard1972, do you have the money to fund this level of side project? Have you done the market research to see if there’s a chance the millions of dollars spent making this for you will be made back with profits? Just sayin’.
