“How about we start with a light?”
Available for pre-order now in the Irrational Games Store, this BioShock Infinite statue features Elizabeth in her iconic Burial at Sea noir outfit. Standing at 12” tall on a high-quality stand, all of Elizabeth’s details have been meticulously hand-painted, including a Bird cameo, a thimble plus hand-rolled cigarette in her right hand, and her classic noir, femme-fatale makeup. Each statue is individually numbered underneath the base, and comes packaged inside of a custom-made box, measuring 15” x 14” x 6”, created in-house at Irrational Games.
Weight is 4 pounds, not a toy, and not intended for children. Limited to 400 total units, of which only 50 have been signed. Base and figure are separate pieces.
Of the 400 total statues being produced, the first 50 statues have also been signed by Irrational Games’ Creative Director, Ken Levine, and includes a certificate of authenticity.
We anticipate these to ship by June at the latest, so pre-order your Elizabeth Noir Statue today!

Details look pretty nice! And the custom made box is a big plus! Is this a resin statue?
IG.J | March 11, 2014 10:42 am
Yes, Elizabeth and the base are pressure-cast resin, similar to the Vigor bottles.

thank goodness. one more over priced dust collector before you all leave..
IG.J | March 11, 2014 10:47 am
We’re sorry that you feel that way, but we do have plenty of other items available in the IG store, including t-shirts, artwork, and many other collectibles in different ranges of pricing.

Alright Irrational, as much as I enjoy cool BioShock merch, I have to say I’m a bit turned off to the sheer amount that is being put out… it used to be if your game got collectible items, they were rare and uber-cool, but now that you can head to the Irrational Games Store and pretty much buy the whole Infinite universe, it doesn’t seem as separated and mysterious as games should be, not to mention discouraging cosplay… not to say that this piece wouldn’t go great along with the Songbird statue. Lookin’ great, Elizabeth.
But really guys? $250 for the statue and double that for it signed? I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels like you’re intentionally turning BioShock into a cash cow and only see it as an opportunity for money now, instead of something fun and exciting the way games should be…. well, Andrew Ryan would be proud.
IG.J | March 11, 2014 10:51 am
I’m not sure why you say this is discouraging cosplay. The items our team has created for the store, are items which have been requested from BioShock fans at large. We’ve promoted many different cosplayers that hand-made their own Vigor bottles or other props we do not sell in the store, and we appreciate every single fan that goes that extra step towards even attempting to cosplay one of our titles, let alone producing the extras.

Looks like a fantastic piece to me, cannot believe it stands at 12″ tall though. Would definitely be one of the highlights in my collection!
IG.J | March 11, 2014 10:46 am
I was surprised myself when we received the first rough paint before the final product seen here. Much larger than I had initially thought, and certainly stands with a presence.
budonasty | March 11, 2014 2:08 am
First off, I have to say that piece looks lovely and well crafted. Very nice.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with everyone else. I’ve bitten my tongue after each new collectors item gets released, for the sake keeping a positive vibe here, but I have to say it does constantly feel like a smack in the face to me as a die hard fan. I’m always eager to look for new merchandise to add to my collection, but then I see what a huge amount of money is asked for everything. I mean, one vigor bottle almost costs as much as a new PS4 or Xbox One. I don’t understand why you guys don’t make items that are cheaper so everyone can enjoy them. I would love to have a collectors item for Burial at Sea. I was really hoping for something. It just doesn’t feel like these are being done for the fans anymore. It feels more like, we got all these people in love with our franchise, lets see how much $ we can get out of them. I’m a dedicated fan, but I’m not easily taken advantage of or stupid.
That being said, I love all you guys. Please don’t take this as a hate message. Just bummed.

I mean, I don’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade by saying all this, but I hop over to the 2K Games Store and I see a Little Sister Figure that is very similar to this Elizabeth one. It is also casted as a limited production run, is 3″, and it too is hand painted to great detail. However, the asking price for that one is $10. Not $250 – $500. Sigh, I just need to make peace with this I suppose. I just don’t get it.

Hey budonasty,
Just to put this into perspective, there’s a lot more to this statue than the Little Sister, and they’re not actually that similar. I have one of those $10 figures near me, and while great for $10, it’s hard to compare. Here’s a few points:
– That particular statue can fit between Elizabeth’s legs, and not even touch her dress, to get a sense of scale.
– That particular statue is very lightweight (maybe 2 oz.). Elizabeth is solid-cast resin, and weighs in (with base), at around 4 pounds.
– The base for the LS is attached, while the Liz statue is separate, and much heavier, giving it a hefty platform to stand on.
– Our run is limited to just 400, where-as there is no numbering on the Little Sister. There could potentially be thousands from a one-time production run.
– The hand-painted details on the Little Sister are good, but if you look at them side by side, you’ll notice the differences in quality (over-painting, missing paint, etc.) and accuracy very quickly.
– The ceramic for the Little Sister isn’t porcelain, as many would think. It’s a light-weight material, designed to feel like plastic.
I’m not trying to discount the Little Sister statue as a $10 value, but if you were to put the two next to each other, it’s a night and day comparison.
budonasty | March 11, 2014 11:12 am
Those are some good points. That gives me more perspective on things. Again, I wasn’t trying to discount the quality of the Elizabeth statue or bring too much cynicism to the message boards. If anything I would want to protect you guys from all of that. Taking into consideration that this is a limited collectors run, I suppose that this would make more sense. Again, I love you guys and all that you do. (Hugs)

Very cool statue, I wish some of the iconic characters from the first Bioshock could get this treatment!!!!!!
@anyone who thinks this overpriced go check out the prices of some of the figures on sideshowcollectibles. 250 is the norm and many go higher than that. Personally I like the variety of high end collectibles which fans can pick and choose what they may want to purchase.
bluejacket | March 11, 2014 6:16 pm
@felonious does the fact that it is over priced make it alright? much like gas prices, orange juice, milk? no, no it does not. so don’t try to say that it’s okay because it’s “normal” to make collectibles a cash cow. and last effort to get money before 2k buries the bioshock series as we know it. (or try to revive it in the great image that bioshock 2 turned out to be…) even on amazon big daddy figures are over 250, while a motorized patriot is 30. if you like to spend big bucks to get that dust collection larger than last years i guess you’re on the right track…
bluejacket | March 11, 2014 6:19 pm
sorry, i am a bitter berry today.
felonious | March 11, 2014 7:15 pm
@BlueJacket, If you feel its overpriced you don’t have to buy it, hate to break it too you but that is your OPINION which doesn’t make it FACT! No one is twisting anyone’s arm to buy any of these items and guess what if they don’t sell and they aren’t profitable than they wouldn’t continue making high end collectibles. If these limited edition vigor bottles or statues were cheaper they would just be bought up and resold by people on ebay. I saw two of the Sander Cohen statues done for the first Bioshock go for 3700 and 2500 in the past few weeks, now those were never put on sale but its gives a perspective on what these limited edition collectibles can go for at auction.
Some people have a lot more disposable income and if you want to hate on those people and their large “dust collections” go ahead, but that’s sad really. No different than someone with money looking down at those who don’t have. Point is 2k runs a business their goal is to make money and if they want to put out some high end collectibles which only small numbers of the fans of their franchises can purchase, good for them and the fans who can afford those items. Not everything can be had by everyone, I’d like a Ferrari, can’t afford one but I’m not going to their site saying how overpriced they are, lol.

I’m a little unhappy with how the face turned out, mainly because I feel it’s off model, or maybe the painting is at least, since it was stated to be based off the actual 3D model. She resembles Sally’s doll head more than actual Elizabeth in BAS. But aside from that, and the discolored collar/cuffs, I say it looks good. I’m still saving up for my Undertow and Possession Vigor bottles so I’m going to hold off on this one.
Thank you IG for creating great collectibles though! I can’t earn fast enough =P

Oh… Ok…
Sorry, it’s just that when Ken teased that a new character statue was coming to the Irrational Store I immediately thought about the Lutece Twins, I’ve seen more praise for them and need for figures than for Noir Elizabeth, but, oh well, this is a wonderful, absolutely stunning statue and I’ll spend the money I was saving for a Vigor on this one when it comes! Then I’ll go for the Bottles…
I just hope the Luteces recieve the love they truly deserve in form of figures or statues, I mean, their Coin is cool and all, but it doesn’t compare to having their model in front of you. I really hope they make it into our universe as replicas one day! 😀
And congratulations for these amazing pieces! Truly some magnificent collectors pieces for us Irrational Fans!

People complain about the price always but they didn’t have to make one in the first place. The price is what it is for many reasons. They create a nice quality hand painted resin statue that in the whole world is only limited to 400 pieces. These limited pieces aren’t for everyone. Its not something that is mass produced like the elizabeth neca figurines that anyone can buy for 20 bucks. Part of the cost and special part about these is that you have something special and unique from the Bioshock world that not many others can have. I thought the songbird statue was a great statue with the game it was $150. So you figure minus the game (initial launch price) maybe about a $80-90 dollar statue which is 9 and a half inches and they made tons of these. Its a great statue to have but thousands of people probably have this statue. If it were offered in a limited run of 400 it would easily be $250. Yes that’s a markup but you would be one of a very select few who can say they have one. I personally won’t pay $250 for a signature but the fact only 50 will be signed and its by the genius who created the bioshock world for us all to enjoy I understand it. I’m not gonna complain I just won’t buy it signed, I will be purchasing this statue but that doesn’t mean my pockets don’t cringe as well a little but I just understand the cost to own it is the cost. Look forward to more stuff in the future.

Hmm. It seems I have not understood the world of collectors items entirely. My main concern wasn’t that it was too expensive and not everyone is able to afford one. My concern was that people were getting ripped off. Taking into consideration that these are very limited, essentially making them rare items, and looking at how much the dollar value appreciates in a few years, I can understand why they cost so much. I remember when they gave out replicas of Murder of Crows bottles pre release of Infinite. Now to find one is very difficult and they are worth a LOT of $.
So I suppose these would be more of an investment. Something that could either be sold for a lot or money in 10 years, or just kept in your collection to say you have a rare item. I remember trying to find the original Bioshock artbook too. Its at least $200 and is very hard to find.
@ IG.J , sorry for making a big gripe about this. Everyones feedback has been very insightful. The statue does look lovely. Perhaps I will pick myself up a collectors item for the road before everything closes. 😉
banjomick | March 30, 2014 8:40 pm
Well….I have ordered the signed statue of Elizabeth and if it’s anything as good as the ‘Last Dance’ framed print (is it sold out now?) it will be the highlight of my relatively small Bioshock collection.
I got back into gaming via the Bioshock series about two years ago after playing catch-up IE one and two. I think prior to that possibly Doom 3 and even earlier Space Invaders,Xevious, eight ball (pinball) ect ect ect.
And finally, just a big thank you to all concerned for making one hell of an awesome series of games, cheers!

Hey, is this going to be sold to retailers, or is it an Irrational Games Store exclusive? It’d be a definite buy from me, but I’d like to pick it up from a retailer in my own country (in part to support local businesses, and in part to avoid a $248 shipping fee…)
Also, like someone mentioned above, would love to see some Lutece merchandise as well. My Bioshelf could definitely use the pair of them in bust, statue or even action figure form.
