You’ve done again Ken…Completely blew us out of the water from left field. Nobody saw that one comin’. Absolutely love the blank face staring you down while he deals with the turret. Oh, and the flags! He looks like proudly decorated battleship going off to war. WOW!
felonious | March 8, 2012 8:24 am
It’s good to see more mechanized monsters and foes Booker will have to deal with, variety is a good thing though I hope you keep ar least a few secret till launch!
bigdaddeh | March 8, 2012 8:26 am
Love it! Using the “creepy doll” aesthetic for his face was brilliant. Definitely freaky. I also dig that you have to take him down in order to get the gun. Awesomeness.
rye0077r | March 8, 2012 9:00 am
Head asplode!!
choo1701 | March 8, 2012 9:17 am
agree with joe – that dead face staring you down is extremely creepy!
The six shooter an interesting addition too. Love how the whole thing just ‘explodes’ and rears back as you fire it.
redtriangle53 | March 8, 2012 9:19 am
this video really revived the feeling i got from playing bioshock 1. REALLY creepy the way he looks directly into your eyes even when he fights the turret
albto | March 8, 2012 9:42 am
HAHAHAAAHAHAH that’s a god damn INSTANT win! I want to murder robot washington!! >_<
beatboxtaun | March 8, 2012 10:45 am
I absolutely love this! I know he is definitely going to be the one that I will be terrified of when playing! October 16th cannot come soon enough!
ismell | March 8, 2012 11:53 am
Why would the city build George Washingtons that fire miniguns? I don’t get it.
If Booker can carry this giant gun, then why don’t the PEOPLE just use them? Can your enemies also pick up the dropped weapons?
joemommak1200 | March 8, 2012 12:09 pm
They didn’t, the “city” built them to be of all things, tour guides which were fitted with the proper mechanics and hardware for battle. Please remember that this is a fantastical world with only ties and references to reallity. GEEZ
schuenator | March 8, 2012 7:33 pm
I feel you ismell. There’s a lot of Columbia that is a stretch to believe. What do people eat up there? How do they get their food? How do they get their water? There’s a giant mechanical flying bird.
I think it’s good to ask these questions but at the same time they can drive me crazy. But then I remind myself that I am playing a video game, one made by Ken Levine and Irrational who are the types of game-makers that love to take you into a world that is pure gorgeous fantasy. They do it in such an artistic way that it’s absolutely absorbing to look at. When I get the game, I’ll probably still have tons of questions but maybe I’ll just slow my own doubts and confusion down and enjoy the ride on that clanky machine that is Bioshock Infinite.
ismell | March 9, 2012 3:28 am
I didn’t think about any of that until I saw this, and then it started unravelling. Like… wouldn’t it take a hundred years just to BUILD this town!?
ah whatever
ismell | March 8, 2012 12:07 pm
Yea I’m really finding it a stretch that the people of Columbia would make a serious effort to build something like this, but y’know-… I guess there’ll be more to it somewhere in the full game.
You Bioshock guys probably have 10 pages on why it makes sense. I’ll be lookin for it!!
quancro | March 8, 2012 12:20 pm
oooo my woooow.. this month in cotuber.. will be a george washigton ..from bioschok infinite vs george washington from assassins creed 3…whoo will win ???
precipice66 | March 8, 2012 1:05 pm
Oh Awesome. That dude is going to take some serious killing.
Any Doctor Who fans out there – sort of reminds me of the Autons (Mannequin Dudes).
fuchipatas | March 8, 2012 1:17 pm
Ooooo… I wonder if during the game you’ll fight more than one of these bad boys at the same time?
losstarot | March 8, 2012 2:02 pm
Thanks for hearing us about wanting ennemy diversity ^^
Now we got a fearless automaton spitting his propaganda in the shape of the very first patriot! btw I love the concept art of the mask and hope they’re gonna reach the same high level of details for his face.
joemommak1200 | March 8, 2012 3:25 pm
Beavis, If i could move my arm that fast I’d never leave the house! Huh Huh Huh
hunterdavidross | March 8, 2012 3:37 pm
OH MAI GAWSH!
This guy looks terrifying…. Just what I expect from a BioShock game 🙂
juan29zapata | March 8, 2012 6:17 pm
I just realized that I’m going to love this game even more. Dammit, Irrational! You make the wait so hard ;_;
And there’s something so cool about that revolver, gonna use it all the way through the game!
icegrove | March 8, 2012 6:36 pm
Like that heavy hitter alot can’t wait to play around with him and hard to pre-order the game yet when havn’t give us the collector edition yet.
jayakers | March 8, 2012 7:06 pm
Finally got the chance to watch the vid…
Very cool! I dug the term “clockwork terminator” and the principle of just having a foe that’s going to pursue you to the end of the Earth (well, Columbia)… The fact that it’s not the brightest but is extremely dangerous, just coming for you… the whole premise, is awesome!
Like Pepe Le Pew with a “Pepper Mill” (rad name for a gun) 😀
schuenator | March 8, 2012 7:34 pm
Looking forward to Robot Jackson, Robot Lincoln and Robot Jefferson. Thanks Irrational, this is a really fun idea.
improvise0 | March 8, 2012 10:02 pm
There is only the one in the video.
watchman | March 8, 2012 7:44 pm
Who/what would be on the Vox Populi side to counter such things?
Without something equivalent they would have been wiped out long since
laforzadimente | March 8, 2012 10:14 pm
I’d say this is a valid point unless they team up on one.
derecto | March 8, 2012 8:36 pm
AMAZING !
devilturnip360 | March 9, 2012 10:39 am

undeniably | March 11, 2012 4:18 am
oh my god, it is like having to do battle with someone obsessed with ‘the founding fathers’ – what a perfect nativist creation
sarcasticlizard | March 11, 2012 2:57 pm
Bioshock Infinite has a revolver now, eh?
magicmaker | March 11, 2012 3:54 pm
The Peppermill, such spicy goodness, not unlike the Peppermill here in Vegas but yours is more satisfying.
larrylaw | March 14, 2012 12:52 am
Robo-Washington for the win. I caught heavy hitters part 2 today on xplay. I can’t wait to understand the plight of the handyman. It looks soooo good. Amazing job.
strawhatmoose | April 26, 2012 1:14 pm
This and the handyman are my favourites. The patriot just looks so cool and seems like a challenge to kill.
voxoneser12 | June 10, 2012 8:52 pm
They should make a automatic thomas jefferson
valennitto | November 16, 2012 11:03 pm
Think this will be one of my favorite characters in the game. Just looks so solemn and doesnt stop until your dead. Reminds me of the terminator a bit but in the 19th centuryish.
wisnton42 | May 13, 2013 9:09 pm
My favorite aspect of the developers creating the Motorized Patriots was that Kevin got the main look for them from a cracked porcelin doll his mother had that terrified him as a kid.
joshimarston | August 9, 2013 5:38 pm
I’ve always liked this dude u3u
